Summer 2 is here and it is our last half term before the summer holidays. This half term we will be going to Stockport Air Raid Shelter as part of our history topic on World War Two. The trip will take place on Wednesday 19th June.
Our English books for this half term will be based on our history topic. We will begin with 'Bombs and Blackberries, which is a play script inspired by children being evacuated from Manchester during the war. We will then look at non-fiction texts based on World War Two that will prepare us for writing our own non-chronological report. Well done to all of you that have already achieved your Silver Dojo, the rest of you are nearly there. Your next challenge this half term is to achieve your Gold Dojo badge by achieving 750 dojos. As always, remember to read every evening and ask an adult at home to sign your reading record. Take care, Mrs H-D, Mr Smith & Mr Tomson |
