Information for Parents
PE Kits
We will be doing indoor and outdoor PE every Wednesday afternoon. Please make sure children have a PE kit in school every Wednesday. They can leave their PE kits in school in a named bag and get changed into their PE kits at school.
Reading Books
Reading books will be changed every Tuesday. Children will get two books, a banded reading book and a book of their choice. Reading books should be brought into school each day as we could read with the children at any time. eBooks will be changed on a Monday and the previous week's book will remain online alongside their new eBook.
Homework
Homework will be given out on a Friday in their orange homework books and is to be returned on a Wednesday. There will be Maths and English homework sheet each week.

SATsIn Year 2, children complete the end of KS1 assessments.
Preparation for KS1 SATs take place in school throughout the year and practice SATs will be completed in Spring 1, Spring 2 and Summer 1. At the end of Summer 1, Monday 20th and Tuesday 21st May, children will be tested in English through two reading papers. At the beginning of Summer 2, Monday 3rd and Tuesday 4th June, children will be tested in Maths through two papers (arithmetic and reasoning). The tests are carried out in an informal way, so your child is under as little pressure as possible. They will be carried out in small groups taken by Miss Colbourne and Mrs Singer and there are no time limits. Below are a Parent Information booklet and the 2017 and 2022 SATs papers. If you have any questions regarding SATs, please do not hesitate to ask.
